It’s 9:30 p.m., and you are busily immersed on the 3rd floor of the Henderson Library in your research for a paper that counts for a third of your grade. You need a little pick-me-up, and by now, even if you felt like popping over to the Union for any of the great choices there, they’re almost all closed. But you are in luck, because Zach’s Brews is now open, and it’s on the second floor of the library! While it’s been open since November 2007, the grand opening celebration for Georgia Southern University’s first alternative coffee shop, Zach’s Brews, will be held Wednesday, Jan. 30, at 3 p.m. on the second floor of the Henderson Library.

Zach’s Brews offers coffee, cappuccino, espresso, caffe latte, fresh-baked cinnamon rolls, cookies, bagels, blueberry muffins, and croissants. Their hours are Monday-Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and Sunday, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Need to reach them by phone? Call 912-871-1367.

Zach’s Brews already has some great press. You can learn more about the coffee shop and its team at http://www.wtoc.com/Global/story.asp?S=7595759 and in The George-Anne Daily.
